Step 1: Documentation
Before applying, make sure all your documents are complete and in order. Submit clear, scanned copies in PDF format.
Required Documents:
- Passport: Valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended stay, issued within the last 10 years, and with at least 2 blank pages.
- Photographs: Passport-size, as per Schengen specifications.
- Visa Application Form: Completed and signed Schengen Visa form.
- Proof of Financial Means: Bank statements for the last 6 months, fixed deposits, income tax returns, salary slips, or sponsor affidavit if applicable. (Applicants should generally have at least EUR 40 per day.)
- Proof of Ties to Home Country: Employment letter, business registration, property ownership documents, or family proofs.
- Travel Itinerary: Confirmed or provisional flight bookings along with a day-by-day travel plan.
- Accommodation Proof: Hotel reservations or an invitation letter from a host in Lithuania, including their ID or residence permit copy.
- Travel Insurance: Valid for all Schengen countries, with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 for the entire duration of stay.
- Cover Letter / Purpose of Visit: Explain your reason for travel, stay duration, travel history, and relationship with the sponsor (if applicable).
- Police Clearance Certificate: Required if requested by the embassy.
- Translations: All documents not in English or Lithuanian must be translated and notarized.

ποΈ Step 2: Apply for the Tourist Visa
Once your documents are ready, follow these steps to apply:
- Book an appointment with VFS Global or directly at the Embassy of Lithuania in India.
- Submit your visa application form along with all supporting documents.
- Pay the visa fee:
- EUR 80 β Adults
- EUR 40 β Children aged 6 to 12 years
- Free β Children under 6 years
- Provide Biometrics: Fingerprints and a digital photograph will be collected during your appointment.

After submission, your application will be reviewed by the Lithuanian Embassy or Consulate.
